Tertius and Team
Thank you for planning the most incredible bespoke Southern African adventure for us. I have never felt in more capable hands. Our 6 week, 4 country trip exceeded our expectations. From preliminary planning to execution it was flawless. Tertius your love and knowledge of Africa is so apparent. Our wishes and budget were constantly acknowledged and adhered to in the planning and we are so grateful. Tertius, thanks for remaining a delight to deal with since the beginning of planning in 2019 and through the three times having to reschedule due to Covid. The amount of work that that must of entailed in incomprehensible. As this was our first trip to Southern Africa and with over four weeks of self drive planned we greatly appreciated the in-depth level of organization and communication. I can’t imagine finding a more experienced and committed team. I would 100% recommend your team to anyone considering an epic African adventure. I wish I could reassure anyone considering travel to Africa to especially consider Namibia. It’s beauty and diversity is phenomenal. No people, no queues, extremely safe and my Canadian dollars went far with the favourable exchange rates. Thanks again Tertius and team for facilitating a bucket list trip for us. We are forever grateful.

This was our first trip to Africa, and it was a great experience, every day was magic and we couldn’t decide what was the best of all. The trip was organized with love and caution, every detail was regarded and we always felt safe and good. We travel through different landscapes, fantastic areas, had wonderful experiences in the nature and saw so many beautiful animals in their natural habitat.
The mix was great between traveling and relaxing, the lodges were of high quality but not oversized, the people very friendly and helpful.
So we enjoyed every single moment with a big pleasure, it couldn’t have been better.
Thank all the team of eyes see Africa, hope to meet again!

Eye See Africa made our honeymoon planning process seamless and without any worries! Tertius was very flexible in accommodating all of our different preferences, and he gave amazing recommendations. We were able to have a wonderful honeymoon, and it was full of relaxation and adventure. Along the way, Tertius and his team made sure we were safe, checked in everyday, and gave us additional recommendations.
I would HIGHLY recommend this company to anyone planning a trip to Africa. They are so knowledgable on food, tour companies, beautiful stays, and they are able to handle any last minute issues that may arise. We felt so taken care of, and we did not have a worry in the world.

My husband and I have just returned from our second African adventure which was arranged by Eye See Africa. We visited Cape Town, Zambia, Zimbabwe and Botswana in the space of two weeks. We had internal flights, visas, several immigration/passport control stops and a fabulous trip on Rovos Rail not to mention a beautiful sunset cruise of the Zambesi River. At every point in our journey we were met by lovely people who knew exactly where we should be at any given time and who were all so punctual and courteous. This was all organised by Tertius, Lara and the team who were in constant contact with us at all times. Even all our restaurant reservations were organised by Eye See Africa. I cannot emphasise enough how easy and relaxing this made our holiday especially listening to fellow travellers who seemed to have many issues with their holiday!
My husband and I have fallen in love with Africa and we shall definitely return in the future. Eye See Africa will be our contact once again without a shadow of a doubt.

My family and I visited South Africa and the ages ranged from 92 to 15 years of age. There was a total of 9 family members. Every member of my family had an absolutely wonderful time thanks to Tertius Jordaan, owner of EyeseeAfrica. His attention to every detail and the things that we needed or wanted was outstanding. There was never a time that we didn’t feel that we couldn’t call and ask him any questions. I would recommend Tertius with EyeseeAfrica to anyone. You will not be disappointed, at all.

EyeseeAfrica’s tour expertise throughout Southern Africa was highly recommended by my daughter so my wife and I decided to engage Tertius Jordaan’s services for our Namibian holiday. What a excellent decision that was for our 2500 km trip throughout Northern Namibia. Right from the initial two meetings with Tertius in Cape Town at which our route and itinerary were discussed and agreed in great detail we soon realised that his knowledge and experience of this unique and beautiful land was exactly what we required for a successful trip. From the booking of the flights, to the selection of the most interesting locations, hotels and lodges to the booking of of our self drive 4X4 it soon became obvious that the prospects of a successful trip were guananteed and so they were! Tertius’s friendly and helpful assistance from the start was most reassuring and he was always easily available by WhatsApp if necessary which was infrequently required due to the excellent tour booklet quide and maps he supplied in advance detailing routes and accommodation information. As the trip progressed we soon realised that his choice of accommodation was brilliant and the planned activity at each location varied, interesting and extremely pleasurable. From the unique boat trips from Walvis Bay Harbour, to the sand dune drives and the wonderful game safaris at Etosha Game Park right through to the stunning scenery of the Spitzkoppen mountains on our final leg of the journey it was confirmed that Namibia is a land of beautiful scenery, contrasts and fulfilling challenges. We highly recommend Tertius and EyeseeAfrica to anyone looking for the best in the business and will certainly employ his services on our next African trip.

We were a family of 10 visiting the African continent for the first time. Expectations were high and eyeseeAfrica did not disappoint. In fact, Tertius was an absolute professional whose goal was for every single person in our group to have a perfect vacation. From early on in the planning eyeseeAfrica was in touch with us to understand what we wanted out of this vacation. From the moment we landed in South Africa until we left for two glorious weeks, eyeseeAfrica was in constant contact with us checking in on the trip. There were times when the schedule needed tweaking due to weather or just our own changes and Tertius was on top of it. This was a once in a lifetime trip and I would not trust a trip like this with anyone else. I think the term gets overused a lot, but I think eyeseeAfrica is AWESOME. Everything from the choice of guides, restaurant picks and accommodations only the best. My husband and I want to visit Africa again and would not think of using anyone else to plan our trip.

Tertius of EyeseeAfrica curated the most unbelievable road trip through Namibia. His insight into the logistics of such a trip and understanding of the country were extraordinary. Our trip was absolutely incredible and we would never have had such an experience had we not booked through Tertius. Accommodation and routes were spot on and the selection of the route ensured everyday was a highlight!

Highly recommend EyeseeAfrica as we had a really wonderful trip in Rwanda and Mountain Gorilla Trekking in Uganda.A trip of a lifetime and extremely well organized and everything just worked out perfectly!
Thank you Tersius and Lara!

It was our first trip to Africa. Namibia what a wonderful country. We have taken deep and great emotions back as well as beautiful pictures. A good planification, preparation as well as the selection of the lodges was the key. Eye See Africa helped us tremendous in this projekt and our expectations have been outreached, We estimated the very individual support and the integration of our trip wishes.

Tertius Jordan, head of EyeSeeAfrica, had organized a fantastic trip for us in Namibia. We saw most of the highlights in much of Namibia, adapted to the 11 days we were there. There are some longer driving stages to get around, as the land is large. We had a super driver who was also a guide, he was very nice, knowledgeable and also made the driving trips a great experience. Several of the accommodations had a high “wow” factor. There are a limited number of lodges around the country close to the sights, so they are priced relatively high. On the other hand, there is not much difference between an ordinary accommodation and one with a high “wow” factor. I would therefore recommend going for the slightly better accommodations, but note! they must be booked up to one year in advance.
Hilde Berner – Oslo, Norway
I had the privilege of traveling in Namibia and in Victoria Falls with EyeSeeAfrica. Most trips in Namibia are “self-drive” trips but my 3 girl friends and I had the privilege of having the CEO, Tertius Jordaan, with us as our guide and driver for 10 days in Namibia! We were his first Norwegian customers and he wanted to come along and do some recognizance of the places he usually recommends for his clients. Tertius was a wonderful guide and had a unique knowledge of Namibia both the people, their culture and the wild animals since he himself has grown up in this country. Namibia is safe and fairly western with WIFI at most of the lodges that we stayed at.
EyeSeeAfrica is a small company but with a wealth of knowledge about the countries it provides trips to. If you are looking for a trip that is custom-made for your wallet and your interests, this is the company to choose. You will avoid the hotels and lodges that the typical large tour groups stay at but with good quality and unique places none the less. I can highly recommend this tour company for your next trip to Africa.

Just back from an incredible holiday in Uganda, organised by EyeSeeAfrica. A quick and easy flight from Cape Town to Entebbe (via Kigali), Uganda offered everything we could have wished for. Murchison Falls National Park is an unspoilt gem – very few tourists and an ABUNDANCE of wildlife in a spectacular setting on the Nile – we even spotted the elusive Shoebill amongst the papyrus! The nearby Murchison Falls (the “food processor” of the Nile) is also a must. Kipedo Valley Nature Park in the North offered the most incredible savannas, with a slightly nerve wrecking drive on a path that went through a herd of probably 600+ buffalo. Sipi Falls at Mount Elgon was a perfect end to the trip. Thanks to the people of Uganda for their friendly reception and for sharing their beautiful country with us and to EyeSeeAfrica for putting together the perfect itinerary and taking care of all the arrangements – we did not have to worry about a thing and could just relax and enjoy! Uganda is not ticked off my list – I am going back! I would definitely recommend Murchison Falls National Park for anyone who has limited time but is looking for an authentic safari experience without the crowds – if you have more time to explore the rest of Uganda, bonus!
Jean Marie – Cape Town
This was my second time with EyeSeeAfrica in Uganda and it was another incredible trip. We ventured a little bit off the beaten track, exploring the spectacular Murchison Falls as well as Murchison Falls National Park with an abundance of wildlife. My absolute highlight here was seeing a Shoebill!
We ventured on to Kidepo National Park right on the border to South Sudan, Pian Upe Game Reserve and Mt Elgon on the border to Kenia before heading back home to Cape Town.
The trip was brilliantly put together and we had a fabulous driver and car.
Highly recommend Tertius and EyeSeeAfrica – they know what they are doing!
I will be back for more…

Eyeseeafrica organised a wonderful trip to Namibia for me and my three siblings. It’s the first holiday we have had together in 40 years without any of our spouses or children so we wanted it to be quite special. The Eyeseeafrica outlines of the various options we considered was very informative and helpful in finally deciding where to go and what to do. And the program we finally decided upon, made perfect sense in terms of what four very different people wanted to do.
Highlights for me were the 4X4 ride on the most amazing dunes south of Walvis Bay, the nature trail in the desert where the guides found us the most extraordinary desert creatures to see (they really knew their stuff), and the beautiful lagoon and birdlife south of Walvis Bay. Our final night at the Spitskoppe Lodge was not to be missed either – it’s well worth a visit and it ended off our trip with a luxurious desert experience.
Thanks Eyeseeafrica – you did us proud!

A friend put us in touch with Tertius at Eye See Africa when we (active retirees) decided to make our one and only trip to Southern Africa. Originally contemplating a visit of 6 to 8 weeks, it grew over time to a grand odyssey of over 15 weeks! (107 days to be exact…. June to September 2018.) Tertius was in large part responsible for our flourishing interest in the region, as well as the quality of our time there. As with any undertaking of this length, there was a low point or two, but overall the experiences we had were astonishing. The places we stayed were top-notch, but the real value added by Tertius were the singular adventures we had because of his knowledge of the areas and his contacts. His love for this part of the world was evident in every component of the arrangements he made for us or recommended. We could say we saw the best of Namibia, the Okavango Delta, South Africa and Madagascar, along with peeks at Zimbabwe and Mozambique……. but then we would not have a good excuse to return, would we? And return we will. Thank you, Tertius.

“My wife and I decided to celebrate our 50th anniversary and my 70th birthday on 24 Aug ’18 at Victoria Falls. Our son put us on to Eye See Africa and I duly got in touch with Tertius Jordaan. Together, over 18 months or so, we planned what turned out to be our best ever holiday. We were both impressed with the careful consideration and care given to our needs and the varied and exciting package that was arranged for us. The itinerary was challenging but made easy due to its hands on management. At every stage of the holiday we always felt that we were being looked after and knew what to expect in terms of accommodation, transfers and activities. I cannot praise Eye See Africa highly enough for the brilliant time we had – it was a fitting way to celebrate our golden time. Well done Tertius!”

“My trip with Eye See Africa started in Kigali and ended in Entebbe (Uganda) – 14 days in total. Trip included seeing the golden monkeys, the gorillas (on the Uganda side), Queen Elizabeth National Park and Murchison Falls. Accommodation on the whole was very good (obviously this is driven by a person’s budget) and food through the trip was good. The Irish potatoes served throughout Uganda were excellent! The activities outside of game view were also great fun. Murchison Falls is a MUST if you have the time. Chameleon Lodge in Lake Mutanda is a MUST if your budget allows. Thinking of a trip to East Africa? Eye See Africa is your best option! Nothing was too much trouble and the trip overall was superbly planned. Choose Eye See Africa – you won’t regret it. Thank you Tertius for a wonderful unforgettable trip!”
Linda Nobrega – South Africa
“I went gorilla trekking in Uganda’s Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park with Eye See Africa and it was the experience of a lifetime! Observing these great creatures up close, and in their natural habitat, is really quite remarkable. However, there is more to Uganda than these beautiful rare creatures…. Eye See Africa took care of the itinerary, permits, accommodation, and transportation, which meant that we could enjoy the experience without worrying about logistics. Planning multi-day, multi-destination trips can be daunting, and Tertius from Eye See Africa took all the guesswork and stress out of the equation. An experienced visitor to many African countries himself, with a love for the bush and ‘less travelled roads’, a passionate photographer, he put together our awesome holiday and we were privileged to have him travel with us.Having travelled to Rwanda and Uganda many times, Tertius – Eye See Africa has made great contacts and works with people that are equally passionate about their countries and pride to show you around. So, if you thinking of Gorilla trekking and visiting East Africa, definitely contact EYE SEE AFRICA, speak to Tertius, and let him plan you a unforgettable African holiday, you will not be disappointed. Thanks to Tertius (Eye See Africa) and his team, both local and Kampala based (Osborn & Peter) for a wonderful, unforgettable trip, deeply engraved in my soul.”

“Been in many places in the world but so far Namibia has been the best! Thanks to eyeseeAfrica who arranged everything more than perfect. Been a memorable experience! Thanks to Tertius”

“I was recommended EyeSeeAfrica by a friend and I couldn’t have asked for a better service from a travel agent. Tertius was very responsive on e-mail, full of great suggestions for how best to use our time in South Africa and worked really hard to get accommodation at a very busy time of the year. He was personable, professional and friendly, going above and beyond what a regular travel agent would be expected to do – he event lent us his binoculars when we forgot to bring our own! We had a really memorable holiday, stayed in some fantastic accommodation we would never have found on our own. A particular highlight for us was an amazing private game reserve he found for us in Kruger. All round a fantastic experience of working with Eye See Africa. Highly recommended for busy people looking for personalised service to fab places off the radar for mainstream tourists.”

“Thanks to Eye See Africa and especially Tertius, we spent the best holidays ever in South Africa and Mozambique. We started in Capetown and although we know this city quite well, we got to know great new places and wineries through Tertius such as Babylon Storen as well as Creation in Hermanus. Compared to travel agents from Europe which we used before, we appreciate a lot getting those insider tips through mates on site such as Tertius. During the whole vacation we stayed in touch through a special whatsapp group. We never got such a great service. After staying 4 days in Sabi Sand with amazing animal sightings, it is due to Eye See Africa that we spent a week in Mozambique on Benguerra Island. (more…)
“The trip Tertius arranged for us to Namibia was very special, with some of the most breathtaking scenery and lodges we had stayed at anywhere in the world. The vistas and people were something special, and it makes all the difference in the world to have such an experience booked by someone with such personal knowledge of the country. We couldn’t recommend Eyes See Africa more highly!”

“I should have written this review soon after the trip I did with Eye See Africa in January 2016. This has to be the best organised trip I have ever been on. I toured Namibia, traveling over 4000km on a well planned safari. Tertius made sure that everything we wanted to do and way more was built into our itinerary. He knows the country like the back of his hand and catered for all our needs. He knows the best routes, hotels and even which water hole to stop at in which game park. I highly recommend Eye See Africa to plan your next trip to Africa.”
Neil De Gouveia – Durban – South Africa
“We could not have planned this trip of a lifetime without you and all your ideas and advice, both in planning and while we were there, were perfectly tailored to us. We always felt like we had the inside track on the best places to go and the best times to go there!”
“Coming from Switzerland, we know Africa quite well and organised our game drives so far by agents from Switzerland. This was the first time that we have traveled with Eye See Africa and it was a hell of a difference. We had the time of our lives discovering Namibia on our 4×4 vehicle and got to know the most stunning places on earth – and in the sky. It makes such a difference when “locals” in Africa organize your tour and we appreciated a lot the tips we got even during our stay in Namibia in order to avoid the typical tourist places but to discover the real Africa. It’s the people who make Africa so special and unforgettable ! Thousand of thanks to the whole Eye See Africa team that they made this happen. We are looking forward to getting to know more of Africa with you soon.”

“Just back from the holiday of a lifetime!! Namibia is a beautiful country – the scenery is spectacular, the animals are everywhere and the people are wonderful. Gravel roads are an education for us Europeans but the upside is that there’s hardly any cars on them! Huge thanks to Tertius and Eye See Africa for not only planning the perfect holiday for us but for being at the end of a phone/text to answer any questions or concerns throughout the holiday. The standard of accommodations and service was truly amazing. And Tertius’ suggestion to stay 2 nights everywhere was absolutely the right decision for us. Plus it was great to meet up with him in Swakopmund when we all happened to be there at the same time. Our trip out to Moonscape for Tertius to put his drone to the test was fantastic. If you have ever thought about Namibia you really should get in touch with Eye See Africa. And next time we plan anything in Africa we’ll be straight back on to Tertius.”
Bob & Edward – United Kingdom
“My husband was turning 40 in November and we wanted an experience with a difference. Eye See Africa arranged a fun filled, action packed and unique weekend away to Swakopmund, Namibia. Being a group of 20 plus we wanted to be in an environment where we were all together all the time. Everything from the desert tour, quad biking on the dunes and the choice of restaurants were 5 star. The highlight, of course, was the exclusive 3 course dinner in the desert equipped with bon fires , music and fire spinners. A million thanks to Tertius from Eye See Africa who was always at our beck and call to ensure we were all happy !”
