Overview
Tongabezi is set among indigenous trees some 18km upstream of the Victoria Falls. The location is inspirational and afford beautiful views over the river, yet is shaded from the harsh Zambian sun. Adding a tropical feel, a waterfall streams down the natural rocks into the free-form swimming pool, while the Lookout affords something of a bird’s-eye view. Tongabezi combines an exclusive ambience with the legendary warmth and hospitality of the people of Zambia.
Tongabezi has just six cottages and five houses, all overlooking the river. The main area of Tongabezi Lodge centers around the small swimming pool, which is set at the foot of a small rock face. The houses are spacious and have a reputation for high design and luxury. Tree House is our personal favourite. The cottages are much simpler in layout and design, but still attractive, with a small veranda, large bedroom and en-suite shower all under a thatch roof.
