The Marly, a 38-room five-star boutique hotel in Camps Bay, takes its name from Chateau de Marly which was built in the 17th Century for leisure. The rooftop pool-bar offers the best sea view in the city covering a spectacular 360 degrees and encompassing the palm-lined beach, Lions Head and looming Twelve Apostles. There is a spa and six restaurants to choose from only a few minutes walk. The beach-butler service is another boon – loungers, towels and complimentary water are all set up for you under the shade of an umbrella, and there’s an inviting selection of fiction and non-fiction books dotted throughout the hotel.
