Nyungwe House

Overview

Nyungwe House is nestled on the edge of the vast and ancient Nyungwe rain forest and lies within the lush green expanse of a working tea plantation. A once-in-a-lifetime experience in one of the world’s most exceptional natural locations. The design of the resort celebrates the raw beauty of the landscape and embraces local art, craftsmanship and motifs. The architecture fits within the natural surroundings and maximizes the spectacular scenery and mountain vistas at every opportunity. With soaring floor-to-ceiling windows and expansive jungle-view terraces you can really take in the beauty of your surroundings. The interior aesthetic of Nyungwe House pays homage to the country and its culture through Rwandan-inspired design, but with a contemporary look and feel. The age-old Rwandan geometric art form of Imigongo is seen throughout the main lodge and guest rooms. All in the traditional Rwandan colours of black, white and red.

22 Luxury Rooms, spread between six wooden villas are on offer as well as two Presidential Suites, each in separate villas. All rooms are en-suite with private decks overlooking the forest and have air-conditioning, a fireplace, minibar, tea/coffee facilities, satellite TV, and Wi-Fi. Enjoy meals at the restaurant or dining area and drinks at the tea lounge and bar.
