Matetsi Victoria Falls is set on a private stretch of the Zambezi River just 40 km upriver from the mighty Victoria Falls. Comprising of Matetsi River Lodge and Matetsi River House. This thoughtfully decorated property is unique in its offering of both world-class safari experiences and an idyllic retreat from which to visit the Falls.
Matetsi is a traditional and authentic safari lodge yet its beautiful interiors and luxurious fittings reflect contemporary African design. Local timbers blend with copper finishes, abstract carvings and local artworks to create a natural but modern aesthetic.
The Matetsi River Suites come with everything anyone might need from a private pool to a personal chef, butler, guide and tracker. Family Suites make a cosy base for those travelling with children. The houses have interconnecting rooms, babysitting and specially designed excursions and activities to inspire young minds.
The East and West camps provide a stylish communal area for guests to come together as and when they desire. Here a bar and outdoor dining room have a fun and lively atmosphere in the evenings and the owner’s wine cellar and extensive wine list is worth perusing. A large lap pool, fitness studio, spa and library are all available day and night for Matetsi’s guests.
