Mapula Lodge

Overview

Journey to the remote northern outskirts of the legendary Okavango Delta and find an intimate forested island within the seasonal floodplains of the mysterious Selinda Spillway. In an untamed private concession over six times the size of Miami lies Mapula Lodge.

Enjoy an authentic safari experience in utter exclusivity, far away from the crowds. Float down the Delta’s secluded waterways on a mokoro (traditional canoe) and discover secret spots where few others have gone before.

Designed by the creators of the Kalahari legend, Jack’s Camp, this is a stylish safari outpost with serious panache.

Mapula offers nine canvas and thatched bedroom tents, including six twins, 2 doubles with large king sized metal four-poster beds, and one family unit with a double and two singles. Bedrooms have been finished with rich Kilims on the floors, polished butler trays, fluffy feather-filled pillows and comfortable furnishings to make it the perfect retreat after a long game drive. Every room comes with an en-suite bathroom with indoor showers, as well as outdoor showers for the more adventurous.
