Set in the private 37 000 hectare (91 400 acre) Kulula Wilderness Reserve, Little Kulala features eleven thatched “kulalas” that merge impeccably into the timeless desert landscape. The closest luxury camp to the remarkable Sossusvlei dunes, Little Kulala’s exquisite fittings, pastel tones and use of natural light is perfectly designed to fit in with the beautiful landscape. Little Kulula is also the only luxury camp with direct access to the Sossusvlei dunes.

Inspired by Dead Vlei, the design of the 11 climate-controlled, thatched “kulalas”, each with a private plunge pool, merges seamlessly into the timeless desert setting. Using inspiration from its natural desert surroundings, Little Kulala makes use of beautiful textures, neutral colours as well as natural light. The soothing pastel tones of the Namib desert are integrated into the lodge’s decor, making use of cotton, pure linens, and mohair dyed, establishing an atmosphere of relaxed serenity. Kulala desert lodge has a well-stocked wine cellar which allow guests to choose their preferred wine for their meals. The various dining venues in and around the camp make for exciting dining experiences. During the hot afternoons guests can enjoy refreshing swims in the lodge’s outdoor pool. Each villa also has a rooftop Star Bed for romantic star gazing.
