Gorilla’s Nest

Overview

Gorilla’s Nest being at the nexus of the Virunga massif and the Volcanoes National Park’s headquarters, in the midst of the foliage, feels like staying in a jungle hideaway surrounded by nature’s buzz with all the luxuries one could expect. Although it might be somewhat bigger with regards to the amount of rooms as compared to its local luxury rivals, it feels very much intimate and homely. The lodge is set up in beautiful and immaculately landscaped gardens with views of the Virunga range in the distance.

Formed of 21 airy guest rooms (14 luxury rooms and 7 suites), a main lodge, plunge pool, fitness room and spa, One&Only Gorilla’s Nest is both modern and charmingly rural. Constructed using natural materials and colored in hues of chestnut and beige, the guest rooms comprising of luxury rooms and suites are bright and comfortable. The lodge’s main restaurant, The Nest, has a focus on locally sourced, organic food.
