Overview
Taking advantage of the nearby Aba Huab River and the awesome landscapes of Damaraland, Camp Kipwe is nestled amongst granite boulders for a truly unique stay. Camp Kipwe embodies the Swahili meaning as it ‘blesses’ the mind, body and soul of every traveller that makes the journey here. Its magnificent setting allows guests to rediscover an uncluttered sense of self and enjoy the simplistic elegance and attention to detail here.
The twin-bedded rooms are in the shape of rondavels and have boulder, cement and rock walls ensuring that on entry it creates a feel like a cool secluded cave. The en-suite, open air private bathrooms are built amongst the rocks, allowing guests to take advantage of the outdoor weather. The central area has a very organic feel with wonderful use of natural materials and splashes of rich desert colours. It is raised and consists of 4 thatched domes looking out towards a scenic dry riverbed with great views over the Damaraland landscape.
