Overview
The elegant Okonjima Luxury Bush Camp is one of two lodges situated within the 22 000-ha enclosed wilderness area of The Okonjima Nature Reserve. Okonjima is located in the heart of Namibia, midway between Windhoek and the Etosha National Park. The reserve is surrounded by the sandstone Omboroko Mountains and is equally famed for its wildlife sightings as well as it’s picturesque landscapes. Okonjima is also home to The AfriCat Foundation which is renowned for its conservation work with predators across Namibia.
Each of the eight chalets have large glass panels and canvas windows that can be completely opened for unrestricted views of the savannah that offers a truly magical African bush experience. There is a large swimming pool overlooking the bush and the mountains and flanked by a ‘Camel Thorn’ shaped Lapa. This central area is incorporating the reception, a curio shop, a comfortable lounge with four indoor fireplaces as well as an outside fireplace and dining area.
