Kapama Buffalo Camp

Overview

Kapama Buffalo Camp is located inside the Kapama Private Game Reserve which lies on a huge expanse of land between the Drakensberg Mountains and the Kruger National Park. Kapama Buffalo Camp offers a glimpse into the exclusive safari romance of a bygone era with traditional tented suites and Big 5 expeditions hosted by skilled and knowledgeable guides. The expansive private reserve is home to 40 mammal species and a vast array of birdlife. The Big 5 can be encountered from a 4×4 safari vehicle or alternatively witness the intricacies of the savannah on a guided walk.

With only 10 luxury tented suites making up the entire camp you can expect attentive service in complete tranquillity,. The Canvas Tents, each accommodating two guests, are set on stilts among the canopies of ancient trees which line a dry river bed. The tents are inter-connected with wooden walkways, which run high above the seasonal riverbed. Venture out on twice-daily game drives or get closer to the earth with guided walking tours. The campfire area contributes to the intimate ambience of the camp and lanterns glow under the treetop canopy. The camp’s lap pool offers respite from the heat of the African summer and the day’s adventures may be shared in the cool open-air bar with its spectacular view over the riverbed.

Kapama Buffalo Camp is ideal for those who wish to discover the African bush in an intimate setting.
