Africa With Us

“Africa is mystic, it is wild, it is a sweltering inferno, it is a photographer’s paradise, an escapist’s Utopia. It is what you will, and it withstands all interpretations. It is the last vestige of a dead world or the cradle of a shiny new one. To a lot of people, as to myself, it is just home.”

― Beryl Markham, West with the Night

It is monogamous and lives in small family groups, moving through the canopy, and is herbivorous, feeding mainly on leaves but also seeds, fruits, and flowers. The groups are quite vocal, communicating with other groups by singing, roaring and other vocalisations. Besides humans, it is the only mammal found that can use rhythm. Lemurs are endemic to Madagascar and are the most endangered group of mammals. In fact, 98% of lemur species are threatened with extinction, and 31% of species are critically endangered! #lemurs #lemursofinstagram #lemursofmadagascar #travelafrica #traveltomadagascar #cometravelwithustoafrica #africainourblood ...

“I love Africa because this is home. I was born here and I have lived here all my life. I love Africa because of its people, their determination and will to survive, their creativeness, their love for life, their music and dance, their laughter and their joy. I believe everyone should visit Africa at least once in their lifetime as this is where we all originate from. I have an abiding passion for Africa and her wildlife and I want to share that with you.”
